Upon stepping inside, guests are greeted by a rustic charm that captures the essence of a cozy gathering place. Patrons can enjoy both indoor and outdoor seating options, making it perfect for any occasion—from casual family dinners to lively after-work hangouts. Customer reviews paint an exciting picture of the experience. Jessica Bundrige praises the restaurant's "cute" vibe and ample portions, especially during themed nights like wing night, suggesting it’s a spot that knows how to keep the spirit lively.
One standout feature at The Fire Side Public House is its commitment to flavor, deeply rooted in its wood grill cooking technique. A sentiment echoed by Chase E, who remarked on the "most flavorful" food he's encountered in Pittsburgh, particularly highlighting the perfectly cooked wings and delectable fries. This attention to detail ensures that each dish stands out, offering unique and satisfying tastes that will leave a lasting impression.
The ambiance is equally noteworthy. As Sam Faller mentions, the expansive windows allow natural light to flood in, creating a cheerful environment whether one chooses to dine al fresco or enjoy the view from inside. However, there’s a hint of constructive feedback, with a call for sound absorption improvements. Nonetheless, these minor notes do little to overshadow the overall experience, which Faller confidently states is "solid" and "unique."
Even for those visiting from afar, The Fire Side Public House does not disappoint. Lisa Jasper, a visitor from out of state, was blown away by the menu offerings and the friendly service, enjoying a memorable evening at the bar watching the chefs’ craft firsthand. Diners can indulge in their juicy burgers alongside fresh-cut fries, an experience that Makayla Zonfrilli-Lang found to be "AMAZING," although she noted a few slow moments in service.
For a place that perfectly balances quality with affordability, The Fire Side Public House stands out in Pittsburgh's dining scene. Whether you’re stopping by for a casual bite or a special night out, you will undoubtedly leave with your taste buds satisfied and plans to return. Don’t miss out—your next great meal awaits!
“ My friend and I went here a couple weeks ago for dinner. It was very cute. There was indoor and outdoor seating. Ample parking and fun neighborhood vibe. The pricing was reasonable, the portions are ample. They have themed nights like wing night and the atmosphere was pleasant and laid back. Our waiter Glenn was very nice and attentive without being overbearing. Nice spot for after work, family dinners or friendly get togethers. ”
“ Some of the best food I think I've had in Pittsburgh! Everything was so flavorful and the wings were cooked perfectly with a lot of delicious sauces to choose from, fries were the best! Our server was also great and very kind and all around this was definitely just a 5 star experience, both inside and outside seatings are very nice and cozy as well. Can't recommend enough ”
“ Pros: great food for a great price; it's hard to beat the quality for the price here and we enjoyed almost everything we had. The daily deals are great. The wood grill adds a great flavor that not a lot of places do (or if they do, it's expensive). The amount of light in the place is also great, huge windows on all sides just makes for a nice atmosphere -- if you can't sit outside on the patio, you can still at least feel like you're outside. It's also nice to see the wood grill in operation -- just adds to the experience. We also had a great server. Cons: I really love the decor/layout of the place (see above) but I gave it a 3/5 on atmosphere because of the loudness of the interior. I think it's the fans in the middle that add such a loud background noise... some sound absorbing would help. I would sit outside in nice weather for this reason alone. Additionally, the fries were a little inconsistent (nothing crazy). My wife and I have been here several times and will go again -- just a solid, unique restaurant with lots to love at a reasonable price. ”
“ We are from our of State and thought the menu looked great on Google. It was amazing! Waitress was good. The atmosphere was a good, fun vibe. My husband and I sat at the bar and watched them grill food. That was cool. Everything the chefs made looked amazingI had 2 drinks. He had tea since he was driving. Bill was 38 plus our tip. It's not too bad on price, I thought ”
“ Wings and the burger with fresh cut fries was AMAZING. Service was a little slow but she was nice. It was a little drafty and kinda cold. The cheese cake was bland but the other food was great. I also had a merlot that was good. ”
“ If you haven’t had it, you are MISSING out! This has become a staple for us on the weekends after we wrap up shopping! Awesome service, good specials/drinks, and you won’t find a better chicken Sammie in the city! PS: all of their food is excellent and the roasted corn/grilled wings are literally to die for! Always appreciate the wait staff and their service! Every visit we are met with attentiveness, kindness, and cleanliness. There is nothing I’d change about this restaurant! Awesome menu and even better people! Highly recommend! ”
“ Very welcoming environment. Glen was a very nice waiter. The food was amazing! Highly recommend the grilled wings over the fried. The honey mustard sauce for the wings was perfect. I had the Fire Side burger, and it was all I could ask for and more. It's what a burger should be. Overall, YES, I would come back, and I strongly recommend this spot to anyone and everyone! ”
“ Excellent burgers, good chicken wings, very friendly service (patience needed), decent beer selection, recommended ”
